That's right, we're alive. I know you may have thought differently since I haven't posted in almost 5 months. the truth is, ever since I have been at home full time, I have less time to blog. Weird how that works. I used to do most of my posts in my free time at work (surprise Becden) and now I'm lucky to be able to sit at the computer for 5 seconds before one of the boys is climbing up my leg to see what I'm up to.

As a quick update, yes I am at home full time. Jeff got an amazing new job that he has wanted for years and that allowed me to quit. So far it has been mostly great. Some days, as we enter the terrible twos with Milo, and what I like to call the 'I thought they didn't get naughty til they were two's' with Max......things are a little rough. But all in all, it is magical to have the luxury to be home with them full time. They may be a little naughty, but at least I'm the one who gets to see it :)

I guess they aren't bums all the time. They are now to the age where they play really well together. Well, Milo rides Max like a horse, tries out new wrestling moves on him, and teaches him to be naughty but then smile and you might get away with it. They adore each other though and I love watching them interact everyday.

Milo turned two last week and Max turns one next week. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. We have been thinking about Milo's birth mom a lot lately, since he had a birthday, and reflecting on how grateful we are to her. We took Milo to a movie for the first time as a special birthday treat, and I bawled through the first 10 mins. This probably doesn't makes sense at first, especially since we were seeing Rio, but let me explain. Taking our child to his/her first movie was just one of a million things that Jeff and I used to dream about before we adopted Milo. I was just overwhelmed with feelings of gratitude towards his brave birth mom for giving us the chance to make those dreams come true.

Anyway, I'm sure most of you quit reading a long time ago, but that's what i get for putting all the cute photos first. See you in 5 months:)

Festivities

We have been really busy with the holidays the last few weeks I have a lot of photos to catch up on posting. The most hilarious of which is this...

Milo always wants to try on my boots and he finds it hilarious to try to walk around. We are only allowed to do this when Daddy isn't home :) Just kidding. Jeff thinks it's funny too.

The rest of the photos are from taking the kids to see the lights at Temple Square and my parents also took the whole family to ZOO LIGHTS. It was so fun and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't been and has little kids. I know going to Temple Square is so cliche and everyone says the lights are lame now, but Jeff and I have been waiting for so many years to have kids to take downtown and share that experience with. So it was extra special and Milo and Max both loved it.

My mom bought a grandma pass to the zoo this year. Its been awesome because we've been able to go a few times and spend just a few hours rather than the whole day. The boys love it! Milo especially loves the monkeys, and the baby elephant. Actually I think his new favorite thing is riding the carousel. He wanted to do that over and over again. Max just likes to be outside, so he's happy to ride around in the stroller for hours and hours. We are excited to go back to see the Christmas lights when they go up. Thanks to Sage for taking all the pics :)

Bear Lake was Great!

We went to Bear Lake on our first family-of-four vacation a few weeks ago. It was so much fun! Jeff's sister has a family cabin they let us use once every summer and we always have such a great time. Milo loved spending time with his cousins and he loved the beach. He would spend ever second playing in the sand and water if we let him. Max thought the cabin was just splendid. There was always someone who wanted to cuddle with him, so for him it was paradise. We love spending time in Bear Lake, so we were very excited to learn that Jeff's parents just bought a lot there to build a cabin on!! Everyone in the family is super excited.

Milo's Do and Max's Blessing

The last few weeks have been really busy. Even though we haven't gone anywhere this summer (so far) it seems like we have something going on every weekend. This past weekend we had Max's blessing. Our families are so supportive!! All of Jeff's siblings came in town for the festivities and a lot of them live out of state. And my whole family was there as well. We were so happy to see everyone since we missed the Webb family reunion this year:( We had a great weekend chilling with the family. Milo and Max both love their cousins and wish we could see them more often.

Quick Update...

So as I'm sure you can imagine, things have been pretty hectic around our place these last few months. But I'm back at work now so I have a few minutes to update everyone:) Max is doing amazingly well. He's giant and we are excited to see how big he is at his 2 month appt. next week. He is smiling and cooing all the time now and his biggest smiles are saved for Milo. He LOVES him. It so awesome to see how he lights up whenever he catches a glimpse of his face. And the feeling is mutual. Milo adores him. He is always trying to kiss his head, he wants to hold him constantly, and he likes to try to put his binky in when he is crying (it usually ends up in his eyeball). We have only had two pee-in-the-face incidents, and they were both in Milo's face. Once when I was bathing Max in the sink I reached over to grab the wash and Milo started laughing really hard. I looked over and Max was peeing like a fountain straight onto Milo's head. Hilarious. Then the same thing happened when I had them in the tub together. I have a feeling this is a forecast of my future. Lots of pee, burping, and soccer. (Our house has been World Cup Central) I'll post more pics when I get a few minutes.

Meet the newest addition to our crew. Max William Webb was born on Cinco de Mayo around 1:00 in the afternoon. He weighed 7 lbs and 15 oz and was 21 inches long. Everything went really smoothly with the delivery and has been going great ever since. We are all adjusting to having two babies in the house. Milo is totally in love with his new brother. He gets very worried if Max is crying and he kisses his head about 1 million times a day. Max is such a sweet baby and is so far sleeping really well and adjusting to being out in the world quite nicely. We are so happy to have him here and I am especially glad to have his huge noggin out of my rib cage:)

Thanks for all the support and love everyone has shown us. Oh and sorry it took so long to post pictures:)

Go Milo, It's Your Birthday!

Milo turned 1!!! It was such a momentous occasion that he'll remember forever::) Just joking. He had no idea what was going on, but we had a lot of fun celebrating. He had a little mini party at the park next to our house with his cousins. I know there are a lot of pictures of him eating cake, but honestly it was the cutest thing ever. Also, I bought these aviator sunglasses for him a few days ago and he is obsessed with them. He wouldn't take them off the whole day. He is such an amazing little dude and we are thankful every single day to have him in our family!!

So I bet that title tricked a few of you into thinking I had my baby...Ha ha ha fooled ya. But Milo did get to meet his new biological brother, Grady last night. I failed to mention in my previous post that his birth mom Tiffany was in town to place another baby. She chose an amazing family from Washington. We had the unique opportunity to meet Wendy (Grady's new mommy) and have dinner with her and Grady last night. It was so special. She is wonderful and we are so glad she and her family want to make sure our boys stay in touch and have a special bond for the rest of their lives. When we found out I was pregnant we knew we wouldn't be able to adopt this baby and we were so worried that the family Tiffany chose wouldn't be open to making sure the boys stay in touch. We are so excited to have Wendy and her family in our lives and can't wait to form many lasting memories with her, Grady, and the rest of their family!

Dinner with Tiffany

Last week we had the awesome opportunity to go to dinner with Milo's birth mom Tiffany. She is such an amazing woman. It was so fun to see her interact with Milo. I loved seeing how much he looks like her. They have such similar features. We are so lucky to have her as Milo's birth mom and it really reminded us how grateful we are to her for providing us with the best thing in our lives.....our little dude. This is such a bad picture, but it was dark and hard to see. You can totally tell how much they look alike though. We look forward to someday seeing her again and hope she will remain in our lives forever.

This picture has nothing to do with anything, I just think Milo looks adorable in his church clothes:)

So Long Gramps

For those of you who had the chance to meet my Grandpa Madsen, it's not something you will soon forget. All the best dirty jokes I know I learned from him. He taught me to play blackjack and poker (with swedish fish of course:). He provided my family and I with some of our very greatest childhood memories by taking us to Lake Powell several times a year for most of our lives. He taught us to ride waverunners, do 360's and always let us invite friends to come along. I know some of you guys will remember some hilarious time with Kenny. After he sold the houseboat we moved our annual vacation spot to Vegas and once again he provided us with some memories we will NEVER forget.

If ever you needed anything you just had to call up Grandpa and somehow he would have 3 of that something for you to choose from the next day. He seemed to have connections EVERYWHERE.

He passed away pretty suddenly this Monday and we will all miss him very much! He was very loved and will always be remembered.

Rub-a-Dub-Dub

Rub-A-Dub-Dub, Milo's in the Tub:) I know, I know. I'm very clever with my little rhyme. I was trying to demonstrate how long Milo's hair is by spiking it up in this photo, but because its so long it kept flopping over. He loves the tub, obviously.

This is what his hair looks like when it's all slicked down. Very attractive, I know.

For some reason, this kid cannot get enough of some good jams. Whenever we let him put Jeff's headphones on, he will sit there forever just dancing or relaxing to the beats. He loves Michael Jackson, Metallica, and anything else with a good steady beat. He thinks Disney songs are a little lame. Oh well, he's just really hip I guess.

So lately I have been Sucky McSuck-Suck at posting. I'll try to be more current. Things have been so busy lately! What with the holidays, and Chey getting married this Saturday (Yippee). We had a great Christmas and I'm certain I took photos, but I don't have my camera card with me right now, so those will have to come later. Our New Years was awesome as well. See Calli's blog for a discription and pictures of our kickin' time. Sage took these pics of 'Lo the other day and once again I realized my kid is amazingly adorable. Max (that's probably what we will name the baby who is residing in my womb) has a lot to live up too:)

Thanksgiving Weekend

Jeff, Milo, and I had a great Thanksgiving weekend. We celebrated with the Webb side this year, so there were a lot of us to say the least. On friday, we had our annual Christmas party so those who live far away wouldn't have to travel back to SLC in December. It was a riot!

This is Milo sitting on Santa's lap for his very first time at the party. You may recognize the twinkle in Santa's eye.....Look closer. That would be my dad :) He was the lucky one who got to have all 17 Webb grandkids sit on his lap and tell him what they wanted this year. He was such a good sport! He even sang Jingle Bells with the kids, complete with a hearty Ho, Ho, Ho when we were laughing all the way. It was very strange to see him as an obese white haired man though. Jeff and I were laughing about it for hours after.

This is just a random photo of 'Lo. I felt like straightening his hair with my flat iron, just to see what it looked like. This was the result. HAHAHAHAHA poor kid.

Whose ready for a shock? So when Jeff and I started the adoption process about a million people told us stories of someone they knew getting preggers right after they adopted. At the time we were like, " Yeah, yeah, blah, blah. Well that's not going to be us. We have a wierd-o uterus, no ovulation, and a few other factors we're dealing with here." And then the thought left our minds. Well imagine our suprise when 4 weeks ago Jeff finally conviced me to buy a pregnancy test (after about 3 weeks of non-stop sickness, emotional outburts, and certain body parts getting noticably larger ha ha ha) the second line appeared before I had even finished washing my hands. That's right ladies and gentleman......I'm pregnant!!! I was filled with a lot of different emotions at first. The main ones being hysterical fright and complete and utter shock. After my last pregnancy ended in miscarriage, I didn't even want to think about birthing a baby again. And we are so happy and content with Milo, I didn't want anything to mess with that. But we were also thrilled, of course. We went to the doctor a few days later to find I was already 9 weeks along and things were progressing very smoothly.

So....Here we are. I'm in my thirteenth week and a few days ago we had yet another ultrasound and there was little Cletus the Fetus bouncing around like he was hopped up on something (that may have something to do with the Mountain Dew slurpee I have been drinking literally every single day for the past 3-4 weeks:)

We are so excited for Milo to be a big brother! He and Cletus the Fetus will be just over one year apart if I make it to my due date (May 12). We couldn't have asked for anything better and we are so stoked!

We have had the craziest, best week ever! On Wednesday Oct. 28th we went to the courthouse and finalized Milo's adoption. It was a pretty standard procedure, but really special for us. This is a picture of us with our sweet judge after the procedings (hence the hideous redness of my face from crying:) And yes, she commented on how cute Lo's outfit was, and I must say I agree!

Next up on Saturday, we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple in the morning and had Milo sealed to us. It was such a special experience! He looked so handsome all dressed in white and we had so much support from both of our families. Steph was nice enough to take pictures of us that morning, so I'll post those when we get them.

That night (since it was Halloween after all) we had the annual Webb Family Halloween Party. I love it every year! It was a great way to top off my favorite holiday. I dressed up as Cruella and the boys were both dalmations. Jeff was really happy about the nose I drew on him. He loves dressing up (I hope you can sense my sarcasm). Also, Jeff's brother Jared carves some amazing pumpkins every year for the party. This time he suprised us with a special tribute to the newest member of the Webb fam. Pretty amazing right?

Finally, on Sunday we had Milo's blessing. It was made extra special since it was on my birthday. Thanks again to eveyone who came, brought something, and supported us. We never would have made it through this crazy week without our huge network of peeps that love us!

So I know I have been a total slacker and this post will be no exception. I'm just going to post a lot of pics with abreviated words for those of you who need a little Milo in your lives :) Enjoy!!

Moose is 4 months old now. He's weighs a baker's dozen and is 24'. He's still pretty little, but growing just fine and dandy. This is a picture of the first time we gave him rice cereal. He loves it. He's a total oinker and gets super excited when he sees the spoon and bowl now.
This is from the Webb Family Reunion in Beaver in July. We had such a blast visiting with everyone . We really miss seeing our family members who live far away on a regular basis. I don't know what I am doing in this pic, but Jeff likes it so I'm putting it on here.
Calli's little bro got married last month and the photographer from the wedding took these pics of our cute family. That's right, I called my own family cute. I'm allowed to brag as much as I want. Oh man, this kids mug kills me.

These are both from the Bee's game we went to with Jeff's brother Jim and his family. His kids are so adorable with Milo. They all wanted to take turns holding him. We call these two Salt and Pepper.

Catch Up.......

So try not to get bored too fast with this post. Our house has been Internet free (as in not working due to cosmic forces) for a little while so I have a few random things to jabber on about. Thing #1.

Our 6 Year Anniversary!! That's right. Jeff and I had our anniversary on June 14. Usually we aren't that big on celebrating anniversaries, but this has kind of been a big year for us, so we went out. We went to a beautiful steak and seafood restaurant downtown called Christopher's. It was so Amazing. It was some of the best crab I have ever tasted. Then we headed to Gateway to see a flick. It was a nice evening and a perfect way to celebrate a great 6 years.

Thing #2.

Milo's 2 month check-up. So as it turns out, Milo is a shorty McShort short. He is 21 inches and 11 lbs, which puts him in the 10th percentile for height. He is growing great though and developing like a champ. After he got his shots, he cried for about ten seconds, the nurse handed him to me, he gave her a crusty and promptly projectile vomited all over me. it was magical. He is smiling like crazy, especially in the morning when Jeff gets him up. For some reason he thinks it's really funny when we say he is stinky. He seriously laughs every single time. Most of this is probably extremely uninteresting to the average reader of this blog, but oh well. Feel free to skip ahead or skim read:)

Camping makes me sleepy

Camping, Kind of. We went up to the mountains last weekend for our niece Addy's Birthday party. We didn't technically camp, but Milo got to see and smell the campfire for the first time. And I took some cute pictures of him with his cousins so i wanted to post about it. That's all for now.

So I have a couple of random, yet important things to blog about...

First off, I was in Heart to Heart (our adoption agency) today showing Milo off, and the girls there mentioned their need for families. They have 3 african american boys that are being born very soon and no families to place them with. They are a GREAT, trustworthy agency and we had a very positive experience with them. If you know anyone who might be interested in these babies, please get in touch with them. This is their website http://hearttoheartadoptions.com/ . Also, I would be very happy to answer any questions i can about them. There is always such a huge need for families who are willing to adopt African American babies, and since we are huge believers in transracial adoption, I thought I'd see if we can help find homes for these little buddies.

Different every single day

This is the quickest way to update everyone on how things are going with Milo and to answer a few questions some of you had... So, first off, things are great! Wonderful! Spectacular! Amazing!Seriously Milo is the best baby. He is sleeping 3-4 hours at night and he only cries when he is hungry (I have a feeling he's going to get pretty large, pretty fast:) or if he has a dirty diaper. Jeff and I are are more than happy to get up with him. That's one of the many beautiful things about adopting. You wait so freaking long for this little guy, that you just simply do not sweat the small stuff. Another great thing is I am in the best shape I've been in for a lot of years, and I don't have to recover from the after effects of giving birth :)

So many of you have come to visit and we are so grateful for all the love and support everyone around us has shown. Adoption is one of those things that really unites people and brings them together in a very positive way.

For those of you who are wondering, we have a pretty open adoption. Tiffany (milo's birth mom) will get letters and pictures from us at least once a month, and she will be sending us pictures and letters as well. We even talk on the phone from time to time. We are big advocates of open adoption and are excited to continue to build the relationship we have with Tffany. I've said it before, but I will continue to say it forever, she is an AMAZING woman and we want Milo to know about her and her incredible selflessness.

Please continue to send your questions and although this may seem a little random, if you know someone who is thinking of adopting, is in the middle of it, or just has questions, please please please do not hesitate to give them my number. Jeff and I would have loved to have someone to talk to during our crazy journey, and if we can be that for someone else we would love it!

Hi, I'm Milo

Well folks, as I'm sure you have all heard Jeff and I are finally, finally, finally parents!! Our crazy long journey is finally over. Our son Milo was born on April 21st at 2:07pm. Our wonderful birth mom Tiffany allowed us to be there every step of the way. She chose us last week and we were able to have a phone conference with her then, and we had a wonderful dinner with her monday night. She is a truly amazing woman. She and Jeff have so much in common, and we felt so comfortable from day one. She went in first thing Tuesday morning to be induced and we met her at the hospital around 10:00. She allowed us to be in the room with her all morning. She is seriously the toughest woman ever. She was like, No I probably won't get an epideral, but finally the pain got intense enough that she did. She went to sleep and about 2 hours later, Milo was born. She allowed me to feed him his first bottle, put on his first diaper, and hold him for the rest of the day. Then jeff and I went to the nursery with him to watch the nurse give him his first bath and do his little check up. It was a truly amazing day. On wednesday, Tiffany spent a very special day alone with Milo, and on Thursday morning we met again at the hospital to sign all the final paperwork. Watching Tiffany say goodbye to Milo was by far the hardest thing we have ever, ever had to go through. She was so strong. Jeff and I had a very hard time and there were a lot of conflicting emotions, but in the end it was a very beautiful day. We are so grateful to Tiffany for giving us a chance to be parents. We will never forget her or this amazing week.

Ok if you read this blog, you know me well enough to know I am not exactly a gourmet chef (that just may be the understatement of the year). However I had to make cupcakes for something last weekend, and I thought I would use the rest of the stuff and make one more batch last night. As you all know this is a modern day miracle. Jeff came home to me baking last night and he was like, "What the??? Are you baking??" And no, I am not overusing those question marks. He was genuinely shocked. Anyhow after I was done Jeff made fun of me for taking pictures, but I was like I have got to blog about this or no one will ever believe me. So there you go. Proof that I am slowly, but surely becoming a domestic goddess.
(And when this baking nonsense wears off, no one better remind me I ever said that)Ha!

Hooray for Friends!

So this weekend I was in desperate need of a pick-me-up and of course my awesome friends could sense that so they planned girls night out. It was so FUN!! We met in Provo and went to a place Sariah recommened called Comedy Sports. It's basically an improv show, with teams who compete to try to get the most laughs from the audience. It was hilarious:)

We didn't get to chat much during the show, so we headed next door to this cute little Italian place for some tasty gelato. We had a lot of talking to do and I had a couple crazy stories to tell, so we ended up getting home pretty late. It was much needed break and about time to see everyone and just spend 5 hours straight laughing. Literally. So thanks again everyone. You guys are the best and I am so lucky to have friends like you! Oh and special shout out to Meggie. Four kids, a couple home businesses, and a home Martha Stewart would be jealous of and she still managed to master mind the whole get-together. Love you!

Calm After the Storm

I just wanted to do a quick post to thank everyone for your love and support these last couple of days. For those of you who are unaware of the craziness that has been our lives for the past few days, I will fill you in briefly. We got a call on Monday from our adoption agency telling us they had a potential match for us and could they send our profile to a birth mom in Michigan who was already dialated to a 5? We of course were so excited and said yes. Then we held our breath. Early the next morning we had a brief conference call with the birth mom and she let us know she had picked us. We were so excited!! We knew it would be any day so we rushed around making a zillion calls and tried to get our house ready. Well about 10:00pm that evening our agency called to tell us our birth mom was in labor. Jeff's parents were kind enough to allow us to use some of their frequent flier miles, we booked a flight and we were off early the next morning. Well the short version of what happened next is we got to Michigan on Weds night, and found out as we were getting ready to go to the hospital the next morning that the birth mom had decided against placing. It was a really awful time and made even worse because we were a long way away from our family and friends who we rely on for support. We decided to drive home (about 1500 miles or 24 hours) to spend some time by ourselves and heal. It was very healing to just drive and be able to talk. It's funny how easy it is to find beauty in the most heart wrenching of times. I saw my first sunset without mountains, and could have cried it was so beautiful and lasted so long.

And the scenery we passed on the way home was, at times, breath taking. Jeff and I are doing much better and just crossing our fingers that another situation will present itself soon. Thank you again for all of your love, and all of your prayers. They were very needed and very felt. We love you all!!

This one is from Vegas as well. I don't know why, but every single time I see a palm tree I feel like I better take a picture of it. I know, I'm strange. What's new? :)

New Years Eve

Just wanted to give a birthday shout out (yes I am aware that is was last week)to my best friend Calli. She is the most amazing person and friend a girl could ask for. We have such a blast together and I am so grateful to have her (and Mike) in my life. We seriously have the sweetest deal ever because our husbands also happen to be best friends, we live across the street from each other, we get to travel together all the time, we enjoy doing most of the same things (I say most because she is forever trying to get me to love hiking and it's taking a couple of years for me to warm up to the idea) and we are just an awesome pair in general. She has such a kind heart and I'm thankful for her every day. Thanks for being so rad Cal!

So we headed up to Snowbird on Friday for some time on the bunny hill:) I'm just learning so everyone else had to spend a large part of the day on the bunny hill with me. They were all good sports about it though, and they were all took turns teaching me and giving me great encouragement. I was pretty bad at first, but by the second half of the day I was doing way better and it was REALLY fun. I can't wait to go again this weekend :)

Halloween/Weekend Fun

This weekend was chock full and fun-filled. On Friday Calli and I went to visit poor bed-resting Meggles. She is doing well and looking adorable as ever. Cute little Emerson kept us entertained the entire time. Her currect kids are so cute, and have the funniest personalities. I can't wait to see what the twins will look like and what their little personalities will be like!

Friday night, Jeff and I went with some friends from his work to the Grizzlies game. Jeff's work now has season tickets since they sponsor one of the contests during the game. It was fun.......let's just say there was some great people watching and one really old lady in particular who had a cow bell that she rang like crazy any time something even slightly significant happened. Awesome.
On Saturday morning I took my 4 oldest neices to see High School Musical 3. It was cute, and they loved it. Katie kept the whole theater entertained with some beautiful dancing that started with the first song, and didn't stop until the movie ended. So funny :)

I love the fall so much! I know everyone always posts pictures of the leaves and everything.... so big surprise I am totally going to as well. Jeff and I drove up to Midway on Saturday so I could take some photos. It was absolutely beautiful there. We could have pulled over anywhere to take pictures. Enjoy the foliage :)

Oh and last but not least, this is the the sight we saw as we were driving home. At first we were just checking out the the sweet motorcycle, but upon closer inspection we saw the awesome feature on the back. It is definetly a custom sheath for his sword! That's right. We think he might be a dragon slayer or something. Pretty awesome, right?

Girls Week - Chapter 2 - Vegas!!

So we made it back from our awesome trip to Vegas. It was SO fun! There are so many stories and since I'm at work, so little time.... So just a few highlights. We saw an amazing magic show at Planet Hollywood. Cheyenne got called up on stage and was part of the show. She looked so cute up there and the magic was mind boggling. We rode the rollercoaster at New York, New York and my mom did it without crying this time.

(Last time she was in tears even before we got on) We were so proud of her. We snuck Sage into a karaoke bar with the help of some rugby players from Reno (she's the only one under 21) and together she and I sang a radical round of Ice, Ice baby to about 50 drunk people. It was hilarious. It's amazing the things you dare to do if you know no one but your sisters and your mom are going to remember it. Have you ever noticed how many creeps there are in Vegas? Well we sure did. We couldn't walk more than 10 feet on the BLVD w/out being hooted or hollered at. It is probably a good place to go if you have low self esteem. We stayed right on the strip as usual thanks to our grandparents who have a really nice condo that they let us use. And of course the best part of all, we ate at the Planet Hollywood (formerly the Aladdin) buffet, because you can't go to Vegas and not eat crab legs at a nice buffet. Like most of our trips we were laughing hysterically every second, this time thanks in large part to my mom. She was being so funny!!! At one point during karaoke she was in the middle of about 15 dancing rugby players doing the pony.

If you know my mom, then you can totally picture it. Pure entertainment:) All in all it was one of the best trips we've been on, we just wished Steph could have come. I'm so glad I have sisters and a mom who I count among my best friends because I know how rare that is :)

Girls Week - Chapter One

So this week is officially girls week. Jeff is hunting from Tuesday - Sunday so it works out quite nicely. My mom, my sisters and I kicked off the week last night by attending the So You Think You Can Dance Tour. It was AWESOME!!! Totally worth every penny the tickets cost us:) This is a picture of my personal favorite dancer, he's weird and quirky which of course I love!

Stay tuned for the next chapter of girls week. We are heading to Vegas on Thursday and you can't go to Vegas without some seriously hilarious experiences!

Hiking Attempt...

This past Friday Calli, Steph, and I attepmted to hike Mount Olympus. This is a picture from about 20 mins up which is as far as we got this time. That is a whole different story....Calli and I did it a few weeks before and went about 1.5 miles up. It's great exercise and also a ton of fun.

3. Who said I love you first? He did...on the phone....I was in KFC. It's a good story. You should ask me about it sometime.

5. Who is smarter? Jeff with most things. I think he would say I have him beat with things like spelling and grammer though.

6. Who is more sensitive? Probably me.

7.Who does the laundry? I do it most of the time, but Jeff is really good at sharing the typically female responsibilities with me, so I'm lucky like that. He will throw a load in if we are out of underwear or something.

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? All I know is I sleep as far away from the door as possible. It's a paranoid, crazy person thing that Jeff is happy enough to let me indulge in:)

9. Who pays the bills? Jeff!! I think anyone who knows me would agree that if it were up to me I'd be like "Oh the car payment was due? Oopsy, I forgot" Thank heavens Jeff is the master of budgeting and finances.

10. Who cooks more? Again, it's pretty equal. Jeff is the Grill Master though. He also cooks all the meat in our house since I get too grossed out by it. And yes I am well aware of my wierdness.

11. What meals do you cook together? Almost everything...if we cook at all.

Webb Family Reunion

Jeff and I went to the annual Webb Family Reunion last week. It was great to see everyone and spend some time together. We went to a cabin in Cedar City that is owned by SUU. It was really big with a lot of room for the kids to run around. It gets pretty crazy when all of us get together. Jeff has 6 brothers and sisters and we have 15 (I think) nieces and nephews plus two on the way, so you can imagine the type of space we need for everyone. This cabin was pretty huge though, so that was cool. We played some horseshoes, the kids did some pretty sweet art projects, and everyone relaxed. Oh yeah, and all the little kids put on a play. I t was awesome. They did The 3 Goldilocks and the 3 Bears because they couldn't decide who should be Goldilocks. They are all so adorable! We then headed to Beaver to stay with Jim and Allison on Saturday night so we could go to Jaron's blessing on Sunday. It was a nice weekend.

As many of you know Jeff and I have been working really hard since January to get our adoption paperwork approved. Finally, this last week, we were approved! Yay!! It has been such a crazy road thus far and we know it is just going to get crazier and more exciting from this point on. Race for the Cure

This past Saturday my sisters, mom, and I continued the tradition of running the 5k for the race for the cure. It is always such an amazing experience. It's a little overwhelming to see how many people this horrible disease affects. There were around 18,000 people there and most of them have family or friends who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. It's always a really neat experience to see people ban together like that. Hopefully we will be able to keep this tradition alive for a really long time:)

So Jeff and I are off to Mexico. Sage and some of her friends are going on a Mexican cruise for their senior trip and they need some chaperone's who are over 25... So we get to go. I am so excited. I have been bugging Jeff to go on a cruise forever, and now we have a really good reason. The week we are going also happens to be our 5th wedding anniversary, so it's going to be a much needed celebration too. I will have to brush up on my Spanish skills. I think I remember how to say 1 or 2 things and that is about it. Oh well. I don't think I will need to bust out my skills from Spanish 1 and 2 (thank you Mr. Hewlett:) but I'll be prepared just in case.

St. George Weekend

Jeff and I decided we needed a break so this last weekend we headed down to St. George with our friends Tyler and Hayley for some fun in the sun. The boys played 18 holes at Coral Canyon and had a great time. Hayley, Gauge and I hung out at the pool and did some shopping. It was warm and wonderful. Tyler and Hayley's little boy is possibly one of the funniest kids I have ever encountered. He had us laughing hysterically the whole time.

Crazy Weekend!

Actually the title of this blog should be crazy week. It all started on Wednesday. Jeff and I went to the Jazz game with my brother Levi and his wife Steph. It was really fun. We haven't all hung out together in a while so it was great.

On Friday Jeff and I discovered the Jeep was about to die (the transmission was about to go out) so we headed down to Francom Motors in Lindon (where we have bought our last 3 cars) and traded it in for a Maxima. They are so chill there. It seriously is the best place ever to buy a car.

On Saturday we went with our best friends Calli and Mike to the second session of conference. It was really neat. I wish I had a picture of all four of us....but I don't. So here's one of Jeff and I looking snazzy in our Sunday clothes.

Later Saturday night Jeff went with his dad and brothers to the priesthood session and I went out to dinner with my mom and sisters. We went to Olive Garden and then hung out for a little while after. We always have a blast together!

All in all it was a great week!

Easter with the West's

Easter with my family is a little different. We only have 1 niece and a couple little cousins. We all went to my grandma's house and had a nice dinner and found ways to entertain ourselves. Usually that consists of watching Claire make faces, trying to make Claire smile, and passing Claire back and forth. I just had to post this picture of her. She is seriously a beautiful baby! Check out those eyelashes.

Oh yeah and my grandpa always has a drawer full of Bubble Tape so Sage and I put in as much as we could and tried to blow big bubbles... She totally won.

Easter with the Webb's

Jeff and I usually get to celebrate holidays twice because we both have families that live so close by. We had Easter with the Webb's on Saturday. It was a ton of fun. The kids decorated cupcakes and had an Easter egg hunt. Then we all had a tasty dinner.

This is our niece Kate. She just had her hair cut into this adorable bob. Everytime Jeff would tell her he thought it was cute, she would look at him all serious and wink. It was hilarious!!

Jeff's mom just bought these styrofoam swords. The kids' new favorite thing to do is chase Jeff around the house with them and wack him while he pretends to scream. It can get a little crazy for him, but it is endless entertainment for the rest of us.
